President Bola Tinubu has approved measures to prevent a potential flood disaster across the country.
The Vice President Kashim Shettima disclosed this during a workshop focused on strengthening the coordination and monitoring of flood risks.
The event was held at the National Counter-Terrorism Centre in the Office of the National Security Adviser, Abuja.
He urged Nigerians to support the President in tackling the challenges confronting the country, stressing that Tinubu has laudable plans and projects for Nigeria.
According to him, the federal government has started seeing the impact in Benue State, where trained volunteers responded to early warning alerts, successfully evacuated over 80,000 people within 72 hours.
