Nigerian Meteorological Agency workers suspends strike

Unions under the Nigerian Meteorological Agency have suspended their strike action for two weeks.

The industrial action, driven by demands for better working conditions, was called off following a meeting with the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, in Abuja.

Recall that the workers had protested poor working conditions, citing the failure to implement the new national minimum wage, the exclusion of certain staff from past allowances, and the neglect of vital training programmes, among other issues.
