Kate Henshaw Decries State of Nation, Says There’s Nothing to Show for 26 Years of Democracy

In entertainment news, Nigerian actress and activist Kate Henshaw has expressed deep sadness over the state of the nation, questioning the significance of Nigeria’s 26 years of uninterrupted democratic rule.

Henshaw said there was nothing tangible to celebrate, as the country’s democratic experience holds little meaning for the majority of its citizens. According to her, longevity in governance means nothing if it consistently fails to meet the basic needs of the people.

The actress noted that despite over two decades of democratic rule, many Nigerians continue to suffer under poor leadership, insecurity, and economic hardship.

She, however, urged citizens not to give up hope, stressing the need for continued civic engagement and accountability. Henshaw called on Nigerians to demand better governance and to hold leaders at all levels responsible for their actions.
