The African Democratic Congress (ADC) coalition has announced a new venue for the official unveiling of its political platform after a sudden cancellation by the originally scheduled venue in Abuja.
The event, which was expected to bring together key opposition politicians under the ADC-led coalition, suffered an unexpected setback when the Wells Carlton Hotel and Apartments pulled out of the arrangement. In a notice to the organisers, the hotel cited an “internal compliance matter” as the reason for the cancellation, just hours before the planned unveiling.
In response, the coalition swiftly announced an alternative venue to ensure the event goes ahead as planned, reaffirming its commitment to launching what it described as a “people-powered platform for a new Nigeria.”
The ADC coalition also condemned the cancellation, calling it “suspicious” and an attempt to disrupt opposition momentum, but reiterated its resolve to continue engaging Nigerians on the need for inclusive democratic participation.
