The Federal Government Will Take Over Any Section Of The Lagos-Ibadan Expressway Not Completed By April.
The Minister Of Works, Dave Umahi, Who Made This Known After The Federal Executive Council (FEC) Meeting, Said Further Delays Will Not Be Allowed.
According To Him, The Lagos-Ibadan Expressway Project, Which Valued At 213 Billion Naira, Was Divided Into Two Phases. Julius Berger Completed The First Phase And RCC Is Working On The Second.
Umahi Said 30 Billion Is Needed To Complete The Remaining Sections, Including An 8.55-Kilometer Stretch Of The Lagos-bound Carriageway.
He Added That FEC Also Approved 14 Major Road Contracts Worth 242.1 Billion Naira Across Different States And Stepped Down A Proposal For The Construction Of The Federal Roads Maintenance Agency (FERMA) Headquarters, Directing Further Research Before Reconsideration.
