Meet the Chairman – Mr. Tony Afia (Chairman TAF Media Group)
MR. TONY AFIA is the Chief Executive Officer of TAF and Associates Limited, owner and operator of TAF Media Group brands – Planet Radio 101.1FM, Spectrum Television and TangSio 102.7FM. Planet Radio, Spectrum Television and TangSio 102.7 FM are the first privately owned indigenous Radio, Television and vernacular-speaking Radio Stations in the Akwa-Cross region of Nigeria.
Mr. Afia obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a speciality in Finance and Banking and a Second degree in Economics from the University of North Texas, Denton Texas, United States of America.
As a renowned banker, Mr. Afia had a distinguished career in the banking sector, working for Wells Fargo, the fourth largest bank in the United States of America. He served as the Bank’s Corporate Loans Executive Officer, a position he held until he was later promoted to the position of Assistant Vice President and assigned the responsibility of managing several branches of the Bank.
He left the bank after seven (7) years of remarkable service as Assistant Vice President to establish his own company, TAF AND ASSOCIATES LIMITED. A company that handles Financial Consulting, Construction, and Media.
He is an astute Philanthropist, who takes pleasure in humanitarian services and a Community Builder who exhibits a desire and drive for community enhancement.
