Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has directed all commissioner-nominees to celebrate their nominations in their respective local government areas (LGAs), rather than in Uyo, the state capital.
Governor Eno issued the directive on Thursday during the inauguration of the Bureau of Statistics Board and the Labour and Industrial Committee at the Banquet Hall, Government House, Uyo.
To ensure compliance, the governor has instructed the Director of Security to monitor the situation and report any nominee who violates the directive.
He warned that except for nominees from Uyo, anyone found celebrating in the State capital will face immediate dismissal within 24 hours.
