Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has tasked government functionaries to maintain the decorum his administration stands for, by discharging their responsibilities devoid of chaos and actions that could be inimical to the prevalent peace and harmony in the State.
The Governor has therefore prohibited indiscriminate issuance of Press statements by State Government officials other than the Commissioner of Information and the Chief Press Secretary, except by the express permission of the Secretary to the State Government.
Governor Eno gave the directive yesterday during a Sunday worship service at the Uyo Archdiocesan Headquarters of Methodist Church Nigeria, Itiam Etoi, Uyo, where he reassured of his commitment to continue supporting the church community in the State.
The Governor clarified ahead of the constitution of the new Executive Council, that he is not building a war cabinet, but a delivery team to interpret his dreams and continue to build bridges across the various fabrics of the State, therefore urging them to emulate the disposition of Joseph as a member of the Egyptian cabinet.
