Turkey says peace talks between Russia and Ukraine will take place today in Istanbul, including a representative from the U.S.
Meanwhile, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio arrived in the same city for talks with Turkish and Ukrainian officials, after telling reporters yesterday that he did not have “high expectations” for today’s negotiations.
Recall that Zelensky previously said he was sending his Defence Minister to the negotiations but that Russia was “not serious” about “real talks”.
