The Super Falcons of Nigeria recorded a commanding 2–0 victory over the Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon in an international friendly played yesterday at the MKO Abiola Sports Arena in Abeokuta.
Captain Rasheedat Ajibade led by example, opening the scoring in the 19th minute from the penalty spot after being brought down in the box by a Cameroonian defender.
Ajibade struck again in the 43rd minute, finishing off a well-timed cross from Babajide Omorinsola to complete her brace and give Nigeria a comfortable lead heading into the break.
Although Cameroon mounted pressure in the second half, the Nigerian defence—marshalled by Payne Antionette and Isah Sikiratu—stood resolute, ensuring a clean sheet and a well-earned win for the Falcons.
