Dangote Petroleum Refinery has announced plans to begin free distribution of petrol and diesel across Nigeria starting 15 August 2025.
In a statement, the Lagos-based refinery said the initiative targets marketers, dealers, and major fuel users nationwide. To support the rollout, the refinery has acquired 4,000 new Compressed Natural Gas (CNG)-powered tankers and invested in CNG daughter booster stations, backed by a fleet of over 100 CNG tankers to ensure smooth distribution.
The programme forms part of the refinery’s wider strategy to cut logistics costs, improve energy efficiency, promote sustainability, and boost Nigeria’s economic growth.
