The Federal Government has assured Nigerians and the international community that there is no security threat within the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
This follows a security advisory issued by the United States Embassy, which restricted its staff and their families from visiting military sites and government facilities in Abuja for non-official purposes.
In a statement issued by the Minister of Information, Mohammed Idris, the government acknowledged the advisory but emphasised that Abuja remains safe for both residents and visitors.
Meanwhile, the U.S. State Department has also issued a global caution to its citizens, warning that ongoing tensions in the Middle East could elevate security risks for Americans abroad.
