The Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) has placed Nollywood actress Shirley Igwe on indefinite suspension following allegations that she physically assaulted a crew member on a film set.
According to reports, Igwe allegedly slapped a member of the Creative Designers Guild of Nigeria (CDGN) during a recent production, prompting immediate disciplinary measures.
In a statement circulated to all state chapter chairmen and the national executive, the AGN confirmed the suspension, stating it would remain in effect pending the outcome of a thorough investigation into the incident.
The Guild reiterated its commitment to upholding professional conduct and respect on film sets, adding that such behaviour would not be tolerated within the industry.
