Leicester City have reportedly turned down a last-minute offer from Spanish La Liga side Valencia for Nigerian midfielder Wilfred Ndidi.
According to sources, the Foxes have instead accepted a bid from Turkish giants Besiktas, who are now in advanced talks to complete the signing of the 28-year-old. The agreed deal is said to be worth €9.5 million, with only minor contractual details left to be finalised.
Ndidi is expected to sign a three-year contract with the Istanbul-based club, with an option for a fourth year. The Super Eagles star is also scheduled to undergo a medical later this week before officially sealing the move.
Ndidi, who has been with Leicester since 2017, played a key role in the club’s midfield through their Premier League and FA Cup campaigns, and his potential departure marks the end of an era at the King Power Stadium. His move is seen as a major addition for Besiktas, who are looking to bolster their squad ahead of the new Super Lig season.
