President Bola Tinubu has extended his heartfelt condolences to President John Mahama and the people of Ghana following a tragic helicopter crash that claimed the lives of two senior cabinet ministers and six others.
According to reports, the crash led to the deaths of Ghana’s Defence Minister, Edward Omane Boamah, and Environment Minister, Ibrahim Murtala Muhammed, both of whom were reportedly on official duty at the time of the incident.
In a condolence message issued by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu described the tragedy as a profound national loss and said Nigeria stands in solidarity with Ghana in this moment of grief.
He urged the bereaved families and the Ghanaian people to take solace in the fact that the ministers died in the line of patriotic service to their nation.
President Tinubu also offered prayers for the peaceful repose of the souls of the departed and for strength and comfort to their loved ones.
