CAF Fines Zambia, Morocco, and Kenya for CHAN Regulation Breaches

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) Disciplinary Board has sanctioned three nations—Zambia, Morocco, and Kenya—for violations of CAF regulations during the ongoing African Nations Championship (CHAN).

Zambia was fined $5,000 for failing to present their head coach at the mandatory matchday-one press conference ahead of their game against the Democratic Republic of Congo, a breach of CAF’s media regulations.

Kenya faced a $50,000 fine after being found guilty of multiple safety and security breaches during their match against Morocco at Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani.

Morocco was fined $5,000 for inappropriate conduct by its players in the same game, with $2,500 of the fine suspended on condition that no similar offences occur for the remainder of the tournament.

CAF has directed that all fines be paid within two months of the notification of the decision.
