Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has directed the Uyo Capital City Development Authority (UCCDA) to demolish all illegal structures on government land within the Tropicana Complex within seven days.
The directive, confirmed in a release signed by Commissioner for Information Aniekan Umanah, was issued during the Governor’s Onsite Project Delivery Tour and is aimed at protecting government assets while opening key infrastructure corridors.
During the inspection of major projects including the 5,000-capacity Convention Centre, the 200-room Ibom Hotels Project, and the ARISE Shopping City, Governor Eno emphasized that private developments must not block public access to government facilities.
He added that the move will ensure free access to Ring Road Three and accelerate the completion of strategic initiatives under the state’s ARISE Agenda.
