Trump Vows to End Mail-In Ballots, Pushes for Redistricting Ahead of 2026 Midterms

US President Donald Trump has pledged to sign an executive order banning the use of mail-in ballots and voting machines before the 2026 midterm elections.

Reports indicate that Trump has also urged Republican-controlled states, including Texas and Indiana, to redraw congressional districts in ways that would improve the chances of Republican candidates.

The move follows a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, during which Trump claimed the Russian leader expressed support for ending mail-in voting in the United States.
