Army Chief Pledges Improved Welfare for Soldiers

The Chief of Army Staff (CoAS), Lieutenant General Olufemi Oluyede, has promised to tackle welfare and other challenges affecting Nigerian soldiers.

Speaking at the conclusion of a three-day visit to the Headquarters of the Nigerian Army’s 6 Division in Port Harcourt, Oluyede said both the army authority and the Federal Government are committed to improving the living and working conditions of troops.

During his visit, the Army chief inaugurated several projects, addressed personnel, and engaged with key stakeholders in the Niger Delta region.

Oluyede emphasised that the welfare of soldiers is a top priority, noting that ensuring troops are well-supported is critical to maintaining their focus and morale for effective operational performance.
