Top Pentagon Officials Arrive in Ukraine for Talks on Ending War with Russia

Senior Pentagon officials have arrived in Ukraine for high-level discussions on efforts to end the ongoing conflict with Russia, the U.S. military has confirmed.

The delegation, led by U.S. Army Secretary Dan Driscoll, is expected to meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in Kyiv later today, following his return from an official visit to Turkey.

Their visit comes amid growing speculation over reports that the United States and Russia have drafted a new peace proposal that would require significant concessions from Ukraine. Thus far, neither Washington nor Moscow has formally acknowledged the existence of such a plan.

The discussions in Kyiv are expected to focus on potential pathways to de-escalation, continued U.S. support for Ukraine, and broader diplomatic efforts aimed at bringing the nearly three-year conflict to an end.
