At the opening ceremony held before the unveiling of the festival’s official logo, Governor Eno described Christmas Unplugged as a vibrant platform that reflects the state’s warmth, creativity, and expanding tourism profile, particularly in its support for entrepreneurship.
He noted significant progress in the state’s aviation sector, highlighting the recent upgrade of the Victor Attah International Airport as a major boost to global accessibility.
Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has reaffirmed the state’s preparedness to welcome visitors from within and outside Nigeria as it hosts Christmas Unplugged 3.0.
Governor Eno encouraged Akwa Ibom residents, friends, and supporters to attend the festival in large numbers and support the 31 local government areas as they showcase their cultural heritage.
The Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Dr Anieti Udofia, also noted that Akwa Ibom is fast becoming a standout destination among Nigerian states, adding that Christmas Unplugged has evolved into a global event attracting participants and visitors from around the world.
