Egypt Defeats Nigeria 2–1 in International Friendly Match

Egypt recorded a 2–1 victory over Nigeria in an international friendly match.

The Pharaohs opened the scoring in the 28th minute when Mahmoud Saber finished from close range after an assist from Zizo, giving Egypt an early advantage. Nigeria responded just before the break, as defender Chidozie Awaziem rose highest to head home an equaliser in stoppage time, restoring parity at 1–1 heading into halftime.

Meanwhile, early in the second half, Egypt reclaimed the lead in the 53rd minute through Mostafa Mohamed, who converted from the centre of the box following another assist from Zizo.

Both teams made multiple substitutions as the game progressed, but Nigeria were unable to find a second equaliser despite increased attacking pressure
