The family of late Elder Udo Akpan Umoso of Afaha Ikot Ebak, Essien Udim Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State, has announced the passing of their wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunty, mother-in-law, and matriarch, Late Madam Unanwok Udo Akpan Umoso, also known as née Unanwok Akpan Udo Ukut.
In a release signed by Barrister Aniefon Umoso on behalf of the family and made available to Planet News, the family described the deceased as a virtuous woman who contributed immensely to the stability and progress of her family, leaving behind a lasting legacy of hard work and dedication to duty.
According to the release, funeral activities commenced yesterday with a commendation service at The Methodist Church Nigeria, Afaha Ikot Ebak. The main funeral service is scheduled to hold today, Tuesday, 23 December 2025, at The Methodist Primary School, Afaha Ikot Ebak, Essien Udim Local Government Area, by 10:00 am, after which interment will take place at the deceased’s compound.
Late Madam Unanwok Udo Akpan Umoso is survived by five children and a host of other relatives, who will gather to bid her a final farewell.
