The President of the United States of America, Donald Trump, has confirmed that a 104 percent reciprocal tariff on China has taken effect today.
Trump made the confirmation in his speech at a White House event today.
According to him, his administration decided to raise tariffs on Chinese items to 104 percent in retaliation for the 100–125 percent tariff China slammed on US goods.
He noted that China and other countries have ripped off the US in the past.
Meanwhile, China had vowed to retaliate against the US’s latest tariff imposition on its imports.
