Nigeria and Tanzania are set to strengthen their bilateral ties with the planned launch of direct flights between the two countries.
This follows a meeting between Nigeria’s Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, and the Head of Chancery of the Tanzania High Commission, Judica Nagunwa, aimed at deepening cooperation between both nations.
In a statement issued by the Special Adviser on Media and Communications to Keyamo, Tunde Moshood, it was revealed that Nagunwa led a delegation to the Minister’s office in Abuja to discuss Air Tanzania’s request to commence direct flights to Nigeria.
Nagunwa expressed Tanzania’s readiness to collaborate closely with Nigeria to actualise the plan.
In response, Keyamo expressed his support for the proposal, assuring the delegation that the Ministry would facilitate the necessary processes in line with Nigeria’s bilateral agreements and regulatory standards.
