Governor Umo Eno who has reaffirmed his determination to link all parts of Akwa Ibom State to the capital, just as he is taking decisions that will effectively link the State to Abuja.
Speaking during the commissioning of the 14.28-kilometre Ikot Ubo-Odot Road, a critical link between Nsit Ubium and Nsit Atai Local Government Areas, the Governor who assured of maximum service to the entire people of the State, maintained that irrespective of the location of the political pendulum, he will continue to pursue the ARISE Agenda in the interest of a United Akwa Ibom.
The Governor acknowledged few spurs off the road that have been brought to his notice and promised to give attention to those new concerns.
Speaking earlier on behalf of both Local Government Areas, the Chairman of Nsit Ubium, Alfred Charles described the Governor as the pride of Nsit Ubium and the son of the land of fulfillment, pledging the unwavering support of Nsit Ubium people until the end of his tenure.
Governor Umo Eno has assured that only qualified persons, irrespective of political affiliation, will be employed to fill vacancies in the Akwa Ibom State civil service.
He said, already his administration is preparing to recruit 1000 medical workers to meet the emerging demands of the State healthcare sector.
Governor Eno spoke while inaugurating the Model Health Centre at Ikot Ekwere, Nsit Ubium Local Government Area.
Eulogizing the model facilities he is instituting across the State, Governor Eno urged local government chairmen to come out and partner with his administration for replication of these projects in more communities, while thanking the Commissioner for Health, Dr. Ekem Emmanuel John, for doing his job passionately.
In his goodwill message, President of the Nigerian Association of Resident Doctors, Dr. Tope Osundare-Zenith, expressed admiration for the pace of development under the Umo Eno administration.
