Manchester United have tabled a third bid for Brentford forward Bryan Mbeumo, with the offer reportedly valued at up to £70 million.
According to sources close to the negotiations, Brentford are yet to respond to the latest proposal from United, who remain keen on securing the services of the Cameroon international.
The Red Devils are said to be optimistic about completing the deal and were hopeful of finalising Mbeumo’s transfer in time for him to join Rúben Amorim’s squad ahead of their pre-season tour of the United States, where they are scheduled to play three matches.
Mbeumo, who impressed in the Premier League with his pace and versatility, has been a top target as United look to bolster their attacking options under the new era led by Amorim.
