FG Orders Abuja Civil Servants to Work from Home Ahead of APC Convention

The Federal Government has directed civil servants working within the Federal Secretariat in Abuja to work from home on Friday, March 27, 2026, ahead of the national convention of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The directive was conveyed in a circular issued and signed by Abdul Garba on behalf of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation. According to the circular, all access roads leading to and around the Federal Secretariat Complex, Phases I, II, and III, will be closed from Friday, March 27, to Saturday, March 28, 2026.

The government said the measure was necessitated by the use of Eagle Square as the venue for the APC national convention. It also directed heads of ministries, departments, and agencies to ensure strict compliance with the order.

The directive comes as the APC prepares to host a major political gathering expected to draw party leaders, delegates, and supporters from across the country.

The convention, scheduled for Friday, is expected to feature deliberations on internal party matters and set the tone for future political activities, including preparations for the 2027 general elections.
