The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has announced that it will maintain salary payments for up to 12 months to the families of personnel who die in the line of duty.
The initiative was approved by the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Aneke, as part of broader measures to enhance welfare support for the families of fallen airmen.
Speaking on the policy, Air Marshal Aneke said the extended salary payments, provided to spouses or next of kin of personnel killed in action, are designed to help cushion the financial impact of such losses.
He added that the initiative underscores the NAF’s commitment to honouring the sacrifices of its personnel, supporting their families, and sustaining a motivated, mission-ready force.
