The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Board of Trustees (BoT), led by Tanimu Turaki, convened an emergency meeting at the lodge of Bala Mohammed.
The meeting was chaired by former Senate President Adolphus Wabara and attended by senior party figures including Turaki, Umar Damagum, and former PDP Deputy National Chairman Bode George, among others.
In his opening remarks, Wabara described the recent judgment by the Court of Appeal as an opportunity for the PDP to “begin afresh,” signaling a potential new chapter for the party.
Earlier, the caretaker committee of the PDP, led by Abdulrahman Mohamed, had addressed journalists, describing the appellate court ruling as a validation of the committee as the legitimate leadership of the party.
The emergency meeting is seen as part of ongoing efforts by the PDP to consolidate leadership and plan the party’s next steps in light of the court’s decision.
