President Tinubu appoints Bishop Kukah as Pro-Chancellor of Federal University of Applied Sciences, Kachia

President Bola Tinubu has appointed the Catholic Bishop of Sokoto Diocese, Bishop Matthew Kukah, as the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council of the Federal University of Applied Sciences, Kachia, Kaduna State.

The appointment, announced in a statement by the Special Adviser to the President on Information & Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, reflects the administration’s commitment to strengthening Nigeria’s higher education sector with experienced and visionary leaders.

Tinubu also named principal officers for the university. Professor Qurix Barnabas will serve as Vice Chancellor, Sanusi Adamu as Registrar, Ibrahim Dalhat as Bursar, and Professor Daniel Abubakar as University Librarian.

The President urged the appointees to leverage their expertise in establishing the institution as a centre for academic excellence and research, in line with the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
