Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich have set a new Club World Cup record with a dominant victory over Auckland City in Cincinnati, defeating the New Zealand side by a historic margin.
Vincent Kompany’s team overwhelmed the part-timers, with Jamal Musiala netting a hat-trick and Thomas Müller scoring twice in what may be his final campaign with the club.
Kingsley Coman opened the scoring with a header in the 6th minute, followed by goals from Sacha Boey, Michael Olise, and a late strike from Müller—Bayern’s tenth of the night.
The emphatic win surpasses the previous tournament record, Al Hilal’s 6–1 triumph over Al Jazira in 2022.
