Nigeria Police Recover Stolen Government Vehicle Trafficked to Ghana

The Nigeria Police Force, through the INTERPOL National Central Bureau (NCB) Abuja, has recovered and returned a vehicle stolen in Abuja and trafficked to Ghana.

In a statement by Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the vehicle—belonging to a Federal Government agency—was recovered in Accra through a joint operation with INTERPOL NCB Accra. It had been stolen during a recent robbery in the Nigerian capital.

Three suspects were arrested in Ghana in connection with the theft and have since been charged to court in Accra. The vehicle has now been returned to Nigeria and formally handed over to the affected agency.

Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, commended the efforts of the operatives, reaffirming the NPF’s commitment to enhanced international collaboration in tackling cross-border crime.
