Trump Diagnosed with Chronic Venous Insufficiency, White House Confirms

United States President Donald Trump has been diagnosed with a long-term but non-threatening vein condition, following widespread public speculation over the appearance of his swollen legs and bruised hand.

White House Press Secretary, Karoline Leavitt, disclosed that the 79-year-old leader has been found to have chronic venous insufficiency, a condition that impairs blood flow from the legs back to the heart, often resulting in swelling and discolouration.

According to Leavitt, the diagnosis came after the president reported mild swelling in his lower limbs in recent weeks. Despite the development, she assured the public that the condition is benign and does not affect the president’s ability to perform his duties.

This confirmation comes amid viral social media discussions surrounding President Trump’s visibly swollen ankles and discoloured right hand—images that drew attention particularly during his recent appearance at the FIFA Club World Cup final in New Jersey.

It will be recalled that in April, Trump underwent a routine medical examination and declared he was in “very good shape.”

The White House maintains that the president’s overall health remains stable and that he continues to receive medical attention as needed.
