The Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ola Olukoyede, has dismissed allegations that President Bola Tinubu is using the Commission to target opposition figures.
Speaking during an interview, Olukoyede described the claims as a deliberate distraction aimed at undermining the administration’s ongoing reforms and anti-corruption efforts.
He emphasised that President Tinubu’s focus remains on ensuring that heads of ministries and agencies deliver effectively on their mandates, not on political vendettas.
According to the EFCC Chairman, the Commission operates independently and remains committed to upholding the rule of law in all its investigations and enforcement actions.
