Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has restated his administration’s commitment to completing all ongoing projects before the end of his first tenure in office.
The governor gave the assurance while declaring open a two-week Ministerial Briefing at the State Executive Council Chambers, Government House, Uyo. He explained that the exercise is aimed at frontloading the state’s priorities and setting the agenda for continued service in line with the ARISE Agenda of his administration.
Governor Eno noted that the briefing is designed to ensure early and effective delivery of his administration’s mandate as encapsulated in the ARISE Agenda.
According to him, the daily ministerial briefing, which commenced on January 12 and will run until January 21, 2026, will feature presentations from members of the Executive Council as well as Ministries, Departments, and Agencies across the state. He stressed that each commissioner is expected to attend with their Permanent Secretary, Delivery Advisers, and other relevant officers of the ministry.
The governor urged council members to take full advantage of the platform to give proper accounts of their ministries, highlighting achievements recorded in 2025 and outlining plans for 2026, not only as contained in the budget but also in alignment with the ARISE Agenda.
Government House Correspondent, Jane Uwa, reports that on the forthcoming general elections, Governor Eno charged council members to be prepared to present his administration’s report card to the public. He advised them to remain focused and ready to showcase the state’s development strides as reflected in the performance of their respective ministries.
