The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has described its victory in one of six Area Council chairmanship seats in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) as evidence of its standing as a credible and viable alternative platform in Nigeria.
In its first formal reaction following the elections, the party’s National Caretaker Working Committee (NCWC) highlighted the win of Mohammed Kasim in Gwagwalada Area Council, along with the success of several PDP councilors and the strong performance of other party candidates, as proof of the party’s credibility.
The party’s national publicity secretary, Haruna Mohammed, called for unity within the PDP and commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and the police for ensuring a smooth electoral process. He also urged both agencies to address critical gaps in future elections.
