President Bola Tinubu has hosted state governors to a Ramadan Iftar at the State House in Abuja, continuing his annual tradition of breaking fast with political leaders during the holy month.
The gathering marks the third consecutive year the President has convened governors for a symbolic fast-breaking at the Aso Rock Villa.
Governors in attendance included Hope Uzodinma of Imo State, Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State, Monday Okpebholo of Edo State, Usman Ododo of Kogi State, Babagana Zulum of Borno State, Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe State, Ahmed Aliyu of Sokoto State, Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta State, Mohammed Bago of Niger State, Umar Namadi of Jigawa State, Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State, Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State, and Agbu Kefas of Taraba State.
Reports indicate that the Iftar forms part of President Tinubu’s annual Ramadan engagements, during which he hosts political office holders, senior government officials, traditional rulers, and members of the diplomatic corps.
President Tinubu used the occasion to call for unity and strengthened cooperation across party lines.
