Presidency Rebukes Peter Obi Over Criticism of Bola Tinubu- Says ADC Crisis Is Self-Inflicted, Not Government-Driven

The Presidency has cautioned former Anambra State Governor, Peter Obi, against what it described as unfair criticism of President Bola Tinubu over the internal crisis within the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

In a statement released by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the Presidency dismissed the allegations as “baseless,” insisting that the challenges facing the ADC are self-inflicted and unrelated to the actions of the federal government.

Onanuga further stated that attributing the party’s internal disputes to President Tinubu amounts to blackmail and represents an attempt to undermine his democratic credentials. He emphasized that the administration remains focused on governance and should not be drawn into partisan conflicts within opposition parties.

The development highlights growing political tensions as parties grapple with internal disagreements ahead of future electoral activities.
