Akwa Ibom State Governor, Umo Eno, has commended the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the South-South region for the peaceful conduct of its zonal congress.
The governor made this known while addressing Government House correspondents upon his arrival at Victor Attah International Airport from Asaba, where the congress was held. He described the exercise as orderly and successful, noting that party officials emerged through a seamless and hitch-free process.
Governor Eno congratulated the newly elected South-South zonal executive members of the APC and expressed optimism that they would deliver effective leadership throughout their tenure.
He also highlighted the massive turnout at the congress, stating that key party stakeholders were present, including Senate President Godswill Akpabio, South-South leaders, state governors, and other prominent members of the party.
Governor Eno added that the peaceful conduct and high level of participation reflect unity and strengthening cohesion within the APC in the South-South region.
