Court Bars Turaki-Led PDP Faction From Accessing Party Secretariat

Justice Joyce Abdulmalik of the Federal High Court, Abuja, has restrained the Kabiru Turaki-led National Working Committee (NWC) from accessing the national secretariat of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

In her ruling, Justice Abdulmalik also directed security agencies, including the Nigerian Police Force and the Department of State Services, to provide adequate protection to the PDP faction led by Abdulrahman Mohammed to enable them access the party’s secretariat.

The court further held that the national convention allegedly conducted by the Kabiru Turaki-led group on November 15 and 16, 2025, in Ibadan violated existing court orders and is therefore null and void.

Justice Abdulmalik ruled that all proceedings, resolutions, and decisions from the convention—including the suspension of certain party members—are unconstitutional and without legal effect.
