Juventus Close in on Top Four With Win Over Genoa

McKennie, Bremer Seal Crucial Victory as Serie A Race Intensifies

Juventus moved to within a point of the UEFA Champions League qualification spots in Serie A following a 2-0 victory over Genoa, as the battle for a top-four finish continues to intensify.

Taking advantage of fourth-placed Como’s goalless draw against Udinese earlier in the day, Juventus secured all three points in Turin.

Defender Gleison Bremer opened the scoring with a header in the fourth minute, setting the tone for the home side. Midfielder Weston McKennie doubled the lead in the 17th minute with a composed finish, continuing his strong run of form.

McKennie’s goal brought his tally to five in the current Serie A campaign, matching his best-ever return in a single league season, previously achieved during the 2020/21 season.

The result keeps Juventus firmly in contention for Champions League qualification as the season approaches its decisive stages.
