Abuja, Nigeria – The newly appointed Service Chiefs on Thursday appeared before the House of Representatives Ad Hoc Committee for screening.
The session, chaired by the Chairman of the House Committee on Defence, Hon. Babajimi Benson, was held behind closed doors at the National Assembly complex.
The appearance followed their confirmation by the Senate, where the nominees were grilled on their plans to strengthen national security and reform the armed forces.
President Bola Tinubu recently approved changes in the military hierarchy, appointing General Olufemi Oluyede as the new Chief of Defence Staff, replacing General Christopher Musa, along with other new service chiefs.
