President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has commissioned a 40,000 cubic metres Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) vessel, christened MT Iyaloja (Lagos), in Ulsan, South Korea, as part of efforts to boost LPG availability and affordability in Nigeria.

Speaking at the commissioning ceremony, the President, who was represented by the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Gas), Ekperikpe Ekpo, reaffirmed Nigeria’s commitment to providing clean and sustainable energy solutions not only within the country but also across Africa and beyond.

President Tinubu commended the project partners for their technical expertise and steadfast commitment to advancing Africa’s position in the global clean energy value chain.

The new LPG vessel is expected to strengthen Nigeria’s capacity in the gas sector, reduce energy costs, and promote a cleaner energy transition in line with the administration’s policy on energy security and economic growth.
