Uyo Residents Urge Akwa Ibom Government to Fix Dilapidated Udo Ete–Ikpa Road

Uyo, Akwa Ibom State — Some residents and business owners along Udo Ete by Ikpa Road traffic light in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital, have appealed to the state government to urgently repair the road linking the area to the popular Plaza.

Speaking with Planet News, the residents lamented that the deplorable condition of the road has severely affected movement and hindered business activities in the area. They noted that the road has been in a poor state and abandoned for many years without any visible government intervention.

In an interview with Planet News correspondent, Ebong Ekoiso, some residents and students who use the road regularly complained that the situation has made it difficult for commercial transporters to convey passengers, especially those returning from school and work.

They appealed to the state government to urgently address the problem and provide a lasting solution to ease the hardship faced by road users and residents of the area.
